Yes, bring your kiddos! Just be sure to keep an eye on them. We'll be in the woods, a road runs through the property, and the river can be fast-moving.
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed at Trout Creek Wilderness lodge in order to protect the natural environment. We look forward to seeing your fuzzy friends another time.
For the ceremony, we ask that guests wear cocktail attire for a romantic forest celebration. We are going for an earthy, garden party vibe. Think flowy dresses, and relaxed suits. We encourage our guests to lean into earthy tones. However, we want you to be comfortable and enjoy yourself, so wear whatever cocktail attire outfit and color feels best to you! Flats, platforms, or wedges recommended - you'll be walking around on the forest floor so leave the stilettos at home. We'll be in the woods for the weekend so dress comfortably. Bring a swimsuit if you want to go swimming in the river or hit the hot tub!
There is limited parking available at TCWL. There are a number of parking areas peppered throughout the grounds. We'll have maps available and someone helping direct guests to parking areas. We strongly encourage you to carpool!
The average temperature in Molalla in August ranges from a high of about 83°F to a low of 54°F. However, temperatures in the forest are about 10 degrees cooler than the city so be sure to pack a jacket for the evenings just in case!
We'll be providing dinner Friday and Saturday evenings. We kindly ask you to bring your beverages of choice for Friday evening, and into the later night Saturday. There will be an open bar following the ceremony. We plan to also do a large grocery trip to purchase light breakfast and snack items that guests can access throughout the weekend in the communal lodge. Please bring any lunch or snacks that your party will desire. If you do bring food, we recommend you bring your own cooler. There is minimal space in the communal lodge for refrigerated items.

Although we would love to have everyone onsite for the weekend to experience the magic of Trout Creek Wilderness, we understand that glamping may not be everyone's style and that's okay! Feel free to check out AirBnBs in Molalla. The town of Molalla is about a 15 minute drive from the venue. Please note that guests staying offsite will need to plan their own rides to and from the venue.
Be sure to bring a swimsuit, sandals, sunscreen, hat, towel, etc for river hangs, sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge, and comfortable shoes if you plan to go on a hike/explore the property. Bring a jacket as it tends to be a bit cooler in the forest. Portable chargers and headlamps could be handy. Also, don't forget to bring a bit of patience for a camping-style weekend in the woods.
Cell service is limited, but there is wifi on the property. There's electricity in the communal lodge and the jupes, but NOT in the belle tents. We recommend bringing a portable charger, and a flashlight/headlamp. Getting ready: For those staying on the property for the entirety of the weekend, there are two full bathrooms in the main lodge, as well as outlets for blow dryers, etc. We ask that you are mindful of timing and other guests when using the bathroom spaces. Some belle tents are a bit of a walk from the main lodge/reception area. Main pathways are illuminated at night. If you choose to wear heels, you may consider bringing a spare pair of walking shoes to leave at the lodge to change into after the reception.
