Kayla & James
Our Story
James and Kayla first met paddle boarding on Rocky Bayou in October 2021. They enjoyed each other's company so much they spent the rest of the weekend together drinking coffee, slack lining, and getting to know each other. Their first year of dating was mostly long distance due to James being away for 8 months for work. Kayla first said "I love you" on a trip to see James in North Carolina, immediately before deploying. After the distance, they reunited and confirmed that they were a perfect match for one another. Their connection grew and started to include road trips to visit their families in Michigan & Georgia/South Carolina. They adopted Cally in September 2023 and she was a beautiful addition to their family. James surprised Kayla when he proposed on the beaches of Okaloosa Island in January 2024. She said YES!
We exchanged our vows on the beautiful island of St. Lucia on October 21, 2025!
