Six years ago while exiting a Friday night football game, Melissa crossed paths with her prior 8th-grade study hall buddy, Travis. During a five minute conversation in the parking lot, Melissa and Travis were quick to rekindle their 8th-grade friendship. The very next morning Melissa was prepping to leave for a soccer tournament when she realized that Travis sent her a facebook friend request - little did she know, her life was about to change immensely, forever.

Love at first sight? ... Well, Kinda! The first time Melissa laid eyes on Zachary, she was shuffling through the profile pictures of her newly acclaimed Facebook friend, Travis. It did not take long until Melissa knew she needed to get to know the beautiful hunk of a man she was looking at in the picture. So, she decided to send him a facebook friend request. The romance truly sparked between the two when Zachary not only accepted Melissa's friend request but when he sent her a message literally saying "hey, do I know you?". After having brief conversations through Facebook messenger, Melissa and Zachary agreed to go on their first date. During this date Melissa saw Zach's true romantic abilities when he took her to "Hill Top Drive-In" ... Yes, he took her to a DRIVE-IN! Conversation quickly got underway through munching on fried chicken and french fries, when they soon came to realize that Melissa was "THE Melissa" Travis had confided to Zachary during a camping trip, of having a crush on. Even though Melissa thought of Travis more as a younger brother, once it was discovered that Travis had a crush on Melissa, there was no way Zachary could pursue the relationship due to the loyalty to his buddy. Inevitably, the relationship was put on hold. Melissa was crushed, but completely in awe of what an amazing friend Zachary was and still is to Travis. A trait she found to be exceptional. Nearly a year and a half had passed when one day it happened ... Travis had a girlfriend! Melissa was so excited to tell Zach because this was a clear sign that Travis moved on. True love prevailed! ... After Zachary received Travis's blessing to date Melissa, the two lovebirds made it official on May 16th, 2014.

He asked ... & she said ... "About Damn Time!" On July 15th, 2018, Zachary got down on one knee in front of all their friends and family and asked Melissa to finally be his wife. The engagement was a total surprise for Melissa, but she was not the only one who got surprised that day. Soon after Melissa said "YES!" to marrying Zachary, they announced their wedding date to everyone for the first time.
