Many of our earliest memories as a couple were spent near the beach. James has always held the Huntington area very close, growing up spending many summers there with his family. When we lived in Orange County, it was one of our go-to date nights to pack a picnic dinner and drive to the boardwalk to watch the sunset. James had had the ring for a few weeks, and decided the pier would be the perfect place for the proposal. That Saturday night, we had plans to go to a concert and James made the suggestion to go to dinner down by the beach beforehand. When we arrived, we took a short walk down to the waterfront and reminisced about those first few weeks of dating and all of our time together. That's when James got down on one knee and proposed!
