How We Fell In Love

First comes school, then comes marriage.

Madi & MJ met freshman year of high school in math class. At the time, they were both already in relationships that they had been in since earlier in middle school. They became friends through mutuals and in less than a year that all changed. Time passed and friend groups formed, and luckily enough they were friends with a lot of the same people, inevitably leading to them seeing more of each other. Their sophomore year of high school MJ was no longer in a relationship and the more he saw Madi the more he realized just how special she was. Always making him and others laugh, genuinely freezing him up every time he got to watch her beautiful smile turn into an infectious laugh, he grew more and more fond of her every time he got to be near her. As time moved on, so did Madi from her previous relationship, now putting the two of them in the same boat. Madi saw MJ in a new light, seeing how compassionate, kind, and genuine he was to everyone he interacted with especially her. Not to mention the way his smile could bring her to her knees. All it took was one night of talking before it became a nightly thing. They started to see one another more and more and things began to shy away from just being friends. No matter what they planned to do before hand, every time they saw one another, they spent the entire time talking about everything and anything. After a couple months of getting to know each other, they decided it was finally time to go on a date. To this day this story makes them both chuckle. They go to dinner with each other at the Mohegan Sun and both Madi and MJ will tell you the date went horribly! They were shy, they were awkward, and both so confused how they went from talking like they've known each other their whole lives, to total strangers. So, they cut their losses and decide to call it. They call for their rides to come pick them up, both knowing that "Hey maybe it just wasn't meant to be!" But then as they are walking toward the exit, an older couple stops them in their tracks and asks, "Hey, Bon Jovi is performing tonight, we've got two tickets and we don't want to go, do you guys want them?" They look at each other, inform their rides, and go in. A switch flips. All awkwardness and weird tension felt throughout the night evaporates as soon as they enter the arena. They stayed for the whole rest of the concert, and everything felt like they both thought it was going to. They leave the concert and MJ decides, "If this isn't a sign to hold onto this girl than I don't know what is", and he asks her to be his girlfriend. They like to think God sent two angels that night, to ensure that a beautiful bond and two soulmates didn't give up on one another. Almost like a "DO SOMETHING THEY CAN'T LEAVE THIS PLACE WITHOUT EACH OTHER!" Clearly meant to be a part of each other's story and start a story of their own making together. Years of pure, true, genuine love have followed, and the rest of eternity will be no different.
