Gabriella and Zack initally met online in April but met for the first time in person on May 3, 2018 at The Battery in Atlanta, Georgia. The following day, Gabriella was planning on flying to Valdosta for her best friends graduation and Zack offered to drive her to the airport. When checking flights in the morning, she was shocked to find that all of the flights were overbooked. She was exploring her other options (& freaking out about possibly missing one of the most important days in her best friends life), when Zack said the unthinkable, “I dont have any plans this weekend; would you like me to drive you down to Valdosta?” The rest is history.

The proposal story is a bit unconventional. At the beginning of November, Zack made the biggest decision of his life; he decided to propose. He first called his mom and dad to let them know his intentions. That was the easy part. His next task was to ask her parent’s permission. He planned on asking them at Natalie’s birthday party, and that is the first thing he did when he arrived at their home on November, 5th. After a long talk, Zack got the answer he had been waiting for; they would be honored to have him as their son-in-law. That night, everyone celebrated Natalie’s birthday, and right after cutting the birthday cake, Javier had an announcement, “Zack and Gabby are getting married!!!” Zack ended up proposing a few days later, after his plans were announced to family and friends, but this unusual proposal is something they will charish and laugh about for years to come.
