Salt n' Peppa's Here
Here I go, here I go, here I go again - Amber ("Ber") and I have been best friends since we were 10 years old. We played on the same club soccer team for 8 years together. Even though we went to different high schools, there was no separating us (considering I was in the Allen yearbook more than she was). As if 8 years wasn't long enough, we decided to play soccer together at John Brown University where we grew so much closer as young adults. She is thoughtful, caring, and a planning & organizing enthusiast. She is my Gangsters in Paradise - Salt n' Peppa - partner in crime. Anytime we are together there is constant laughter, reminiscing of the good 'ol days and always wanting to SHOOP!
Romy & I invented Post-its
She is the Romy to my Michelle. Becca and I have been friends since we were 10 years old playing on the same club soccer team together. We were high school opponents in both volleyball and soccer. We were roommates in college...for one semester - but nothing could stop this F.R.I.E.N.D.Ship. She is the essence of my chair, I'd drink the fat for her, us together is just kick you in the crotch - spit on your neck fantastic, and we were never on a break. If people don't understand us it's a moo point. We also only speak in movie quotes. Becca has always been there for me and I'm extremely blessed to call her one of my best friends - as long as she remembers - that I'm the Mary and she's the Rhoda.
Twin Flame
If there are soul mates for friendship - that's Amy. A true soul mate is a mirror - the person who shows you everything that is holding you back. The person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. She has challenged me, held me accountable, and helped shape me into the woman I am today. Amy is one of the strongest women I know. We have cried and laughed together through this journey called life. Some of the best friendships are the unexpected ones and I am beyond blessed to call this woman one of my best friends. The Devil whispers, "You can't withstand the storm." The Warrior replied, "I am the storm."
I love a good side pony
Kelly McCulloch - where to begin? He was brought in to my life through a mutual close friend 10 years ago. I didn't realize how much I needed someone like him in my life. We have spent countless hours playing trivia, singing karaoke, or talking about anything and everything. Kelly is someone who brightens up any room he walks into. He loves his family, his faith, and his friends. I have learned so much from him and have grown so much in such a short period of time because of him. Even if our busy schedules keep us apart for a long period of time, the moment we meet eyes it is as though no time has even passed. Kelly makes a lasting impact on his friends and he has etched his way into my heart. Bouvier!!!
Starbucks Fo' Life
Rachelle and I have known each other for years through Starbucks. She started out as my mom's manager until she hired me back in 2008. I followed Rachelle to multiple different stores all over the area until she left me - to take a well deserved promotion. To say she means more to me than an old Starbucks manager is an understatement! Rachelle is loyal, comforting, caring, and brutally honest. She has one of the biggest hearts and anyone who can call her friend is blessed. She has the most infectious laugh that shines a light on your cloudy day or cracks a smile on a frowny face. We love drama - especially when it isn't ours. Thank you for your heart, your smile, and for always being there for me and supporting me - even if it was at 4 in the morning. See ya later CHRIS!
Spice Up Your Life
Hey Wormy Wormer. Kristen and I have been inseparable since we were 3. THREE. Do I need to write more? Ok I will. We have countless self choregraphed dance routines (which are extremely impressive), oh so many dress up days, riding bikes through the neighborhood, or hauling ass to one of our sporting events (because we are never on time - to anything). Tough times? Fights? Arguments? Understatement. We grew up together. We shared our LIVES - together. We loved, leaned, and relied on each other. She is the familiar face in a crowded room. No matter what life has thrown at us, we always seem to make it back to each other. Will it ever stop? Yo, I don't know. Turn off the lights and I'll glow. To the extreme, I rock a mic like a vandal Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle - DANCE!
