Things To Do

Wichita is home to us - which makes it our favorite place to be together - with many of our favorite things. While you're in town, check these out!

Sedgwick County Zoo

5555 West Zoo Boulevard, Wichita, KS 67212
, (316) 660-9453

You can never go wrong at this zoo. It's consistently rated as one of the best zoos in the nation!

The Brickyard

125 North Mead Street, Wichita, KS 67202, Wichita, KS 67202
, (316) 263-4044

This is where we first met and still to this day is one of our favorite places to go out for an evening of live music, and under-the-stars dancing within the shell of an old brick open-air warehouse. It's the best.

Exploration Place

300 North Mc Lean Boulevard, Wichita, KS 67203
, (316) 660-0600

Kid-friendly and on the river (which is also a major favorite of ours)

Tanganyika Wildlife Park

1000 South Hawkins Lane, Goddard, KS 67052
, (316) 794-8954

If you're up for feeding giraffes, lemurs and interacting with animals, this is your place to go!

Keeper Of The Plains

550 Nims North, Wichita, KS 67203

Go on a walk down the river and stop by the Keeper just before 9pm to see the fires light! If you go on the river walk during the day, you can also stop by the troll for some amusement. The troll is up by the westar energy building!

Mort’s Martini and Cigar Bar

923 East 1st Street North, Wichita, KS 67202
, (316) 262-1785

The best martinis in town! Head to Morts for evening Martinis and to listen to live music on the patio. The place is small, but the martinis are worth it. (My go-to is the root beer float - but I'm warning you... it's deliciously good.)

Chicken N Pickle- Wichita

1240 North Greenwich Road, Wichita, KS 67206
, (316) 535-7150

For an ENTIRE afternoon of fun, hang out at Chicken N Pickle to play pickle ball ($40/hr for a court + 4 paddles - pretty much everything else is free,) bags, washers, you name it. Plus, the food is actually really really good. It's always slammed busy, but such a blast.

Norton's Brewing Company

125 N. St. Francis St, Wichita, KS 67202
, (316) 425-9009

Aside from a major assortment of beers, Norton's unique food menu brings people in every time they're in town. Norton's also has the best beer garden with swings, live music, and a dog-friendly atmosphere everyone would love.

Dempsey's Biscuit Co.

3425 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67218
, (316) 260-8579

Don't say you haven't been warned. There's bound to be a SERIOUS wait but it's more than worth it. This brunch is to-die-for if you're looking for something local and comforting.

Clifton Collective

3700 East Douglas Avenue, Wichita, KS 67208
, (316) 352-7066

Local shopping is for any visitors. Clifton Collective offers local artisan goods from midwest makers. You can find tees, candles, wall art, you name it. The owner's also a past bride of mine and we love her!

Revolutsia

2721 East Central Avenue, Wichita, KS 67214
, (316) 290-9596

This shipping container mall is the coolest for local anything. From ice-cream (yes, please) to german food to local soap shopping and souvenirs, this is your place. plus it features an outdoor food court for gatherings and occasional live-music.

Georges French Bistro

4618 East Central Avenue, Wichita, KS 67208
, (316) 831-1325

Creme brule is my favorite so that makes this place a favorite!
