The Mayakoba
Dinning and Activities
The Mayakoba consists of 4 resorts all connected via a lagoon system. Banyan Tree, The Fairmont, Andaz, and Rosewood. The Mayakoba offers complimentary transportation between resorts. This allows you to dine and enjoy activities and facilities at any of the Mayakoba resorts. We encourage you to take a complimentary tour of the lagoon system via boat "Eco Tour", this allows you to get a sense of the Mayakoba and the amenities of all four resorts. Available daily at 11am, advance reservation required.
El Pueblito

El Pueblito is located in the heart of The Mayakoba. Transportation is complimentary from all resorts within the property. This is where you will find Coffee shops, Ice cream shops, and quick bites. Perfect for a morning coffee and pastry at "Pan Dulce", an afternoon Ice Cream at "The Sweet Spot" or some lunchtime tacos and craft beers at "La Fondita"
El Fogon

We LIVE for tacos!!! And no trip to Riviera Maya is complete without a trip to El Fogon. It's super casual, delicious, and the perfect place to fill up on Tacos, Beer and Margaritas! Located in Playa del Carmen, Just a 15-minute taxi ride from The Mayakoba. Please note, Cash only.
Breakfast Options
Dinning
There are a number of breakfast options at Banyan Tree and around the Mayakoba. If you are looking for an a-la-carte breakfast with a view of the ocean, head over to The Sands Beach Club for breakfast. If you are extra hungry and looking for a breakfast buffet, Oriente offers both a breakfast buffet option as well as a-la-carte menu items. Lastly, if you are just looking for a coffee and maybe a pastry, El Pueblito is just a short golf cart ride away.
Casa Amate

Located at The Andaz, Casa Amate is a beautiful intimate Latin American restaurant with stunning views of the Lagoon. We recommend making a reservation in advance.
Plank
Dining
Plank Grill and Patio in Playa Del Carmen is the perfect spot for a casual-cool dinner. Lots of sharing plates, Meat and Seafood, and Delicious cocktails. Just a 15-minute taxi from Mayakoba.
Los Aguachiles
Dining
Los Aguachiles is calling all the seafood lovers. Local spot for an array of fresh ceviches, fish tacos, and raw fish tostadas. Perfect for a hot day. Open 12pm to 7pm and Located a short taxi ride to Playa Del Carmen. We first visited Los Aguachiles in 2015 after an awesome day of cenotes diving.
Sands Beach Clubs
Dining and Activites
There are a number of pools located throughout Banyan Tree and The Mayakoba property. We recommend relaxing at the sands beach club. Best of both worlds and enjoy the pool and ocean together.
Cenotes
Excursion
We love visiting Cenotes! Cenotes are freshwater sinkholes found around Riviera Maya. We recommend taking a taxi to one of the many cenotes in the area, some of our favorites are closer to the Tulum ruins ( The journey is about 1-hour ). Entrance to cenotes varies from 5$ to 20$. Our favorite Cenote is "Dos Ojos". Keep in mind, cenotes can be very busy on the weekends, go early!
El Camaleon Golf Course
Activities
El Camaleon Golf Course is an 18-hole course situated throughout The Mayakoba. All wedding guests can book their tee times at our discounted rate. Please be sure to mention "Zanardi/Feldman" wedding when booking.
Water Sports
Activities
We LOVE water sports, well.......Whitney does. If you are looking for an activity within Mayakoba, We recommend canoeing and kayaking through the lagoon system. Mayakoba also offers ocean activities including Jet skiing and Stand up Paddleboarding. Contact the hotel during your stay to make a reservation.
