Our story began in the way that all great love stories do, online. But, we soon realized our circles overlapped and we were meant to meet regardless. Our first official date was appetizers, margaritas and trivia at Chili's followed by stargazing on the porch. It didn't take long until we were in the midst of "the sleepover that never ended". We bonded over our love of adventure and the outdoors, our niche and nerdy interests and the caring nature we both possess. We shared our stories and our favorite people and places, and quickly realized that our growing love would last a lifetime. Many nights early in our relationship were spent singing, dancing and toasting with our respective friends who have since grown into one large friend group. We still love our friends, though nowadays most nights are spent in our pajamas at 9 pm keeping up our Wordle streak. We found places in one another's families, making memories and joining in on each's traditions like Fourth of July fireworks in Plymouth with the Waystacks and Christmas Eve Karaoke with the Dows. We took many trips to the White Mountains that were filled with hiking, swimming, exploring local shops and breweries, and hanging out with Nanny. We camped on the Saco river, visited south west Florida and explored the Everglades. But Acadia National Park holds a special place in our hearts. On our first trip to Acadia, we hiked up Cadillac Mountain in the dark to see the first sunrise in the continental US. It was October and 35 degrees at best, but the view was unforgettable. Our second trip was only slightly warmer and much wetter, but we got a glimpse of the beauty and power of the ocean as huge waves crashed on the coast. Keeping a huge secret from the person you share everything with is tough, so our engagement didn't kick off quite as planned. But it couldn't have been more genuine or true to who we are. We have gone through many changes over the last few years, some wonderful and others heartbreaking. But, our love has never faltered. In each other we have found safety and support, and so much laughter. We are not only partners, but truly the best of friends. We feel so lucky to have found each other and we are so blessed to begin the next chapter of our lives surrounded by the people we love so dearly. Thank you for being a part of our love story!!
