We're Getting Married!

We met as students at the Defense Language Institute out in Monterey, CA. At the time, Wayde was studying Mandarin Chinese, and I was studying Russian. Despite the differences in languages, we had a lot of interests, skills, and passions in common, and it was only a matter of time before we both fell head over heels in love.

We'd gone off-base for Valentine's Day and we were staying at a nice spa hotel in downtown Monterey. We were getting ready to go to dinner, and I'd turned around to ask Wayde a question. When I did, he was down on one knee, the ring box open, a smile on his face. It was a very sweet, intimate proposal, and very true to who we were - laid back, relaxed, and focused on what really mattered: us. We're so excited to share our new beginning with you. We can't wait for you to join us in Madison!
