Long story short, Carly was home from college for the weekend and was hanging out with some hometown friends. That night, everyone met up at Daron's house (Best Man). While everyone was playing games, Daron's roommate stumbled out of his room after taking an 8pm nap. That guy was AJ. He started rumbling around in the kitchen, settling on some Top Ramen. However, Carly saw him making it wrong (draining the water AFTER seasoning it - excuse me but getting rid of all the flavor?!) and informed him how to do it correctly to get the best taste. AJ thought "Who is this girl bossing me around in my own house?" and the rest was history! They spent every day getting to know each other as AJ worked the days away in his hometown of Anacortes, and Carly finished school at the University of Washington. That spring, Carly graduated, moved back to Skagit Valley, and their relationship took off! After that, they spent Sunday nights making dinner, watching the new Chicago Bulls documentary, and sharing their love for basketball. They continued to get to know each other with date nights at their favorite Asian restaurant. Sunny days were spent shooting hoops and catching PNW sunsets - their favorite. Winter days were spent in the gym, coaching at rival high schools. They quickly found a best friend in each other and can't imagine a life where the other doesn't exist. Who would've guessed that best friend-turned-spouse grew up in the neighboring town just 20 minutes away! AJ and Carly are so excited to watch this next chapter unfold as husband and wife!
