They say opposites attract, but I’ve never heard of them being a perfect combination for an everlasting love. We started off as feuding teenagers in Mrs. Zimmerman’s music class, but our teacher must have known our future because she constantly told us we were destined to be married. We thought it was nonsense, until I slid in those DMs. ( Direct Messenger) Yeah that’s right; I pulled Lisa through an email! But, of course, she will have a different story. From the first hit of the send button to the notification “you’ve got mail” our love grew. Our love blossomed February 20,2011 when we said our first “I Do!” Marriage is a thousand little things that add up to one big thing spelled L-O-V-E. It’s giving up your right to be right in the heat of an argument; it’s forgiving them when they let you down; it’s loving someone enough to step out of the spotlight so the other can shine. It is friendship magnified! It is being a cheerleader and trusted confidant. Marriage is forgiveness that welcomes a person into open arms even though you were the injured; it is safety in the midst of the storm; it is home. When you love, you give of yourself freely uninhibitedly and tirelessly as your lives together travel down paths you’d never imagined. Tried love is being able to survive through sickness, pain, poverty and loss. It’s carrying the weight of another without buckling or falling. It’s the morning whispers that sautés your day and the hushed confidence that settles you in the evening, knowing that no matter what, you will cling to each other, even in thought all during the day and night.

Love is pureness as you behold the other in awe, no matter the flaws. Love stands together in adversity, but , bewails in happiness when it has passed. It is patience when there is shortness; it is faith when doubt knocks, it is solid when emotions try to roadblock. It is LOVE! Through the ins the outs, the ups and downs, the then and now, we have LOVED and added to its meaning six times over. For the many blessings God has showered upon us, our marriage and family, we give him all the Glory. Greats is His faithfulness unto the WATSONS! We were, we are, and will forever be ......in Love.
