Jonathan and Haley met at SAGU through a Management Communications class and didn’t think much of it. During the summer, Haley joined the SAGU Valorant Esports team, and Jonathan happened to be the team captain. They got to know each other more through one-on-one practices over the summer, and when the Fall semester started, they found out they had similar friends. Feelings developed after a few hangouts, which led to a few dates, and then the fairy tale began.

Jonathan and Haley dressed in their Sunday best and started the day with breakfast and a devotional at IHOP. Jonathan then suggested they take pictures together in a flower field behind Getzendaner park. Jonathan and Haley arrived at the park and walked to a bridge that “led to the flower field.” After stepping onto the bridge and gazing at the stream below, Jonathan got down on one knee and popped the question, and Haley agreed with much excitement and tears.
