Day Trip to New York City
If you are making an entire trip of the week, New York City is just a 45 minute ferry ride away! The Seastreak Ferry arrives in Highlands, NJ (not Atlantic) everyday from 8am-9pm.
Asbury Park Beach
Asbury Park, famous for The Stone Pony music venue, has a variety of shops and beach access. Only a 20 minute drive from Sea Bright, or a 45 minute train ride (Long Branch or Red Bank train).
Beach Day in Sea Bright
Explore the town of our wedding venue by enjoying the beach waves and delicious restaurants. There is beach access from the Sea Bright parking lot, or our personal favorite, Anchorage Beach.
Sandy Hook National Park
Just five minutes away from Sea Bright, there is Sandy Hook National Park. There is beach access with historical sights to see. There are bike rentals on Sandy Hook, as well as Krankys in Highlands. Sandy Hook's story is one of military and maritime significance, dating back to the 18th century. The area's strategic location at the entrance to New York Harbor led to the construction of the Sandy Hook Lighthouse in 1764, which served as a vital navigational aid and a target during the American Revolution.
Kranky's Cycles- Henry Hudson Trail
Our personal favorite is riding an electric bike from Highlands to Atlantic Highlands on the Henry Hudson Trail. We'll grab a bite at On the Deck and enjoy boat watching at the marina. Kranky's offers electric bikes and normal bikes. All you need to do is give them a call or text to reserve your bikes!
Red Bank
Red Bank has shops, restaurants, and views! You can shop at popular places like Urban Outfitters and eat at fun restaurants like Red Rock or Robinson Ale House. There is also a public library and marina.
