Our story begins like any modern love story…on The World Wide Web. We had both recently moved to the Charlotte area and turned to the dating app, Bumble, to find someone to explore the city with, and that we did. We simultaneously got to know each other while also getting to know The Queen City, from exploring the newest restaurants in South End, to brewery hopping in LoSo, somehow convincing Logan to hike the “hills” outside of town as well as cheering on our local pro sport teams, we soon found love for our city and for each other. Lauren’s first job after graduate school eventually took her away from Charlotte for a year, but the two managed to make long distance work even through the peak of the Pandemic. Eventually, Lauren was able to return to Charlotte and the family was rounded out by Kali, the territorial tuxedo feline, and Sadie, our sweet Westie pup. On our third anniversary the “big” question was popped on a snow dusted day. After months of planning, Logan proposed in the quaint mountain town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina and even planned a surprise engagement dinner where both families were able to finally meet later that night. Wedding planning eventually overlapped with designing and building our very first home in the town of Mount Holly, just a short drive from city life in Charlotte. Some may say we are crazy for planning to close on a home and wed in the same month, but we say, “we are up for the challenge”. When planning where we wanted to get married, we knew that the coast, our favorite place, was a no-brainer. Charleston has always been a special place for us individually and after many visits to the historic southern city together, it eventually became our favorite spot as a couple as well. We can’t wait for you all to fall in love with the city as much as we do, see you in May!
