Given each of our love and passion for our respective alma matters, it seems only fitting that we met at the Chicago Penn State dive bar, Durkin’s. (Fortunately for Kevin it wasn't during a Penn State/Ohio State game!) We have Amy’s college friend (and bridesmaid) Kelly to thank for the introduction. At the time, Kelly worked with Kevin and had invited Amy to meet up to watch a game. They quickly connected and within a few weeks had gone on several dates ranging from golf, a Cubs game and several of Chicago's best Pizza parlors.

The Waters and Van Bramers (we missed you Julianne/Will!!) met in Jupiter, FL for what Amy thought was going to be a weekend of golf and relaxation. Fast forward to the 18th green of the Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course, Amy asked Kevin if he wanted to make a bet on her last putt. Kevin asked Amy what she wanted if she made the putt- to which she replied, “ice cream.” Unfortunately, Amy didn’t make the putt, but when she turned around she found Kevin on one knee. Although Amy didn’t win her ice cream that day, she got the best surprise she could have asked for. We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends in Chicago!
