“ Not to go on a tangent but…” Isaiah is the best man to be best man! Though they only met a few years ago when Chris joined the improv team, their bond truly solidified over the summer of 2023 during their production of Godspell. Chris finds Isaiah’s chill yet goofy character both relatable and entertaining. Isaiah also has the honor of being the one to introduce the Chris to Elana on that fateful day in 2019. “Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative” Amanda and Elana have been friends since high school with a bond that has aged like a fine wine. Amanda kept Elana alive during the latter’s one year at Ball State, and for that the couple is extremely grateful. Amanda is funny, wicked smart, and incredibly multitalented. When she has free time, Amanda enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and walking her cats.

“Daddy needs something cheesy” Josue is a food and beer loving tech nerd and is the older brother of the groom. When he isn't trapped at work, he loves performing at Open mic comedy nights, singing karaoke, and playing Fortnite.

"Ask about my current hyperfixation and prepare for an encyclopedia's worth of useless knowledge" Chelsea and Elana met in high school in 2014, and when Chelsea joined the drama club their sophomore year a close friendship became inevitable. Chelsea is incredibly kind, intelligent, and talented. In their free time, Chelsea enjoys crocheting, playing video games, and doing their nails.

“The key to life is lower your expectations” One of Chris’ oldest friendships. Joe Harden and Chris first met in high school in personal finance out of sheer luck, and from there the rest is history. Joe is a man with a great sense of humor and more charisma than he knows what to do with. Some of Joe’s hobbies are journaling, drawing, and walking.

Juliana

“I’m alive” Juliana is a music teacher who lives with her family and two dogs. She and Elana have been close friends since 2006 when they were both doggy footstools in Beauty and the Beast. Elana considers it to be a true pleasure to have been able to grow up with Juliana, and looks forward to seeing what this silly yet intelligent woman will do next. Three things Juliana enjoys are naps, cheese, and deep dives on absolutely random stuff.

"If you like Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain" Alex and Chris met back in 2019 at Lewis University’s show, Mamma Mia, from there they reunited through theatre at Bicentennial Park. Alex’s thoughts on Chris are that “He has been an amazing friend, a great D&D player, and most of all, like a brother to him.” Sentiments that are, of course, shared by the groom. In his free time, Alex enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, making YouTube videos, and cooking for his friends.

Marisa

" If you come into Menards on a Wedensday past 5pm don't bc that's my private concert hours” Marisa and Elana met at theatre camp in 2014, but grew truly close through the fires of learning basic costume stitching in 2019 for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the park. The two can often be found making each other laugh thanks to their similar sense of humor. Marisa is a kind, thoughtful, and fierce individual that Elana loves and respects a lot. If she ever has free time, Marisa can be found looking at trees, dancing at the gym, and caring too much about absolutely everything.

“Never back down. Never give up” The bride’s younger brother! Of course, Jayce and Chris met through the bride herself meaning that Chris has gotten to watch Jayce grow into the strapping young lad he is today. Chris would describe Jayce as the little brother he never had. From thwarting Chris’s plans in DnD to making smart alleck remarks at parties, Jayce is always finding ways to keep Chris on his toes. Jayce enjoys playing video games with his friends, going to STEM club, and practicing martial arts.

Katie

“Peepaw is always watching” Katie and Elana met many moons ago at one of Kathryn’s birthday parties, but they didn’t become friends in their own right until they started playing games together online especially the group’s Minecraft server over winter break 2021/2022. Now, Elana truly can’t imagine her life without Katie. Katie is strong, hard working, and hilariously funny. When she has free time, you can find her pondering, listening to music, or gaming.

"No, I will not turn my music down" Every group needs the straight man, and Steve fills that role! He’ll tolerate your goofiness and weird sense of humor because he likes you. Chris would describe Steve as the Caucasian father he never had. Steve and Chris first knew of each other’s existences from a mutual friend in high school. Years later however, they now have a real bond. Steve’s interests include biking, bowling, and video games.

Kathryn

“plagued by thoughts” Kathryn and Elana met in 2008 through Bicentennial’s STOS drama camp, and have been friends ever since. Elana loves Kathryn for all that she is but especially her wit, sense of humor, and strong heart. When she has some free time, Kathryn enjoys reading, learning music both on the guitar and vocally, and spending time with friends.

Joe and Chris have a friendship so strong that no matter how long it’s been since they last saw each other, it always feels as if no time has passed. When Chris first met Joe at JJC, he knew it was bound to last. They clicked through similar interests and sense of humor. Some of Joe’s hobbies include D&D, singing, and playing guitar.

Gaby is Chris’s eldest niece who he is honored to have watched grow for so many years. She is a caring, intelligent, and beautiful young lady. Elana and Chris are both grateful to have Gaby as part of their wedding, and look forward to celebrating her quinceañera with her. Some of Gaby’s hobbies include legos, Roblox, and painting.

Edgar is Chris’s elder nephew who currently resides in Texas. On the outside, Edgar is a chill and relaxed young man, but he also has the family’s goofy sense of humor. In his free time, Edgar enjoys Fortnite, Nerf guns, and Call of Duty

Piper is witty, creative, and passionate. As is true of all in the fantastic four, her humor is contagious. Piper can often be found scrapbooking, doing special effects makeup, and involved in theatre to some extent

Mila is one of Elana’s beloved younger cousins’ best friends which makes her pretty close to family. Mila is extremely talented and witty, and Elana is very proud to know her. Mila, like her cohorts, shares an incredible intelligence and quick thinking that is oh so important in meeting theatre deadlines. In her free time, Mila can be found acting, singing, and spending time with friends.

“Can a gay girl get an amen” Hallie is one of the brides beloved younger cousins who unofficially joined the family in 2019, and Elana is grateful for everyday with her since. Hallie is super silly, loyal, and kind. Hallie is also so easy to love just like her fellow members of the fantastic four. Hallie is known to spend time doing theatre, hanging out with friends, and practicing wizardry.

Taitum is one of Elana’s beloved younger cousins. Watching Taitum grow into the confident young woman she is has been one of Elana’s great honors. Taitum is witty, hardworking, and intelligent. Taitum, along with the other three, is gifted with a great kindness and care for the people around her. When she has a moment, Taitum can be found performing, sewing, or playing tennis.

Half of the team that made and raised the bride, Lori is filled with an indomitable spirit and strong heart. Lori taught Elana to be kind with wild abandon, love fiercely, and laugh often. She is a woman you do not soon forget once you’ve met her. When she happens to have some free time, you can find Lori spending time with family, playing board games, or doing martial arts.

A city girl at heart Maria is a proud homemaker originally from Guadalajara, Mexico. Maria is a social butterfly who loves to share stories with others. Chris is grateful to his mother for teaching him and his siblings everything they need to know to be responsible adults. Maria enjoys watching home improvement shows, telenovelas, and bargain hunting.

“I am ruled by an amalgamation of emotions ranging from hope to fear to joy to pride” As stated above John is the father of the bride, and Elana couldn’t be happier that he was half of the team that made and raised her. He is hardworking and intelligent with a secret sense of humor that you can find once you get to know him well. He has an incredibly kind heart filled with great love for his family. In his own words, “My daughter Elana has delighted and amazed me since the day of her birth and the prospect of her marriage fills me with an incredible sense of optimism for her future”. In his free time John can be found playing DnD, reading, or spending time with family.
