Do I need to arrange my own accommodation?

Answer

No, you don't need to arrange your accommodation. We'll let you know where you're staying and share cost details etc. closer to the time.

Can I extend my stay in Watamu?

Answer

Yes, you definitely can. Just let us know your dates and we can arrange it with your accommodation. If you're staying at Ocean Sports you can arrange this directly with them.

What's the weather like?

Answer

Late October in Watamu is great, with plenty of sunshine, but still pretty hot and humid. Pack lots of beachwear, light linens, and anything that lets you stay cool in the tropical heat.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones, but this is a no-kids celebration. We want everyone to relax, let their hair down, and enjoy a few carefree days by the sea.

Do I need a visa for Kenya?

Answer

As a South African passport holder you no longer require a visa, however this can change over time. We'll keep you up to date if visa requirements change for SA passport holders. If you hold a different passport, please check the requirements for your specific country.

Do I need vaccines?

Answer

Yes, Kenya requires a yellow fever vaccination if you haven’t already had one. You’ll need to get it at least 10 days before travelling and make sure to bring your vaccination certificate with you.

There are lots of amazing safari options in Kenya to choose from, so it depends on your preferences and budget. The great news is that most lodges go to low season rates from 1 November.
