Back in 2017, I started nursing school at Stevenson University and decided to join their women's tennis team. It was a great way to take my mind off all the studying and homework that nursing school brings. My first year on the team was amazing. I developed deep relationships with the girls I met, as well as some members of the men's team too. One person in particular was Doug. He was the jokster of the team, and always made people laugh and smile at 6 am practices. After seeing each other at every practice, every match, and every lifting session, we also got to see each other at work, where we both taught tennis part-time. Doug helped me get the job, of course! We had such huge perks working here, one being the free indoor court time. It was awesome - we had keys to the building, and could stay to practice as late as we wanted. Our private indoor lessons with each other continued, and after many food dates, he eventually asked me to be his girlfriend, and I said yes!
