If you have not booked an Airbnb for the weekend, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Baymont by Wyndham in Traverse City. Please call (231)-421-6688 to make your reservation by August 12th, mention the Washburn-Dunlap wedding for a discounted rate. If you are wanting to stay somewhere other than the hotel, lodging will be difficult to attain. As we have booked our wedding for the same weekend as the Iron Man race up north.
Our wedding dress code will be beach formal. Dress to impress. But keep it comfy for the sand! Think sundress, midi dress, linen pants, button up shirt, or a lightweight suit. When choosing what to wear, remember it might be windy!
The ceremony will take place at the Sleeping Bear Point Coast Guard Museum. We are not permitted to place signage for directions within the park. So seek out directions through Waze or Google/Apple maps. 8799 W Sleeping Bear Dr Glen Arbor, MI 49630 Please note that there will be seating only for the elderly and handicapped, per park rules and regulations. It is mandatory to have a National Park pass to enter the Sleeping Bear park. If you do not already have one, they can be purchased at NPS.gov Parking will be limited at the site, so please ride with another guest if you can.
Our dinner reception will be taking place at the Birch and Maple patio, in downtown Frankfort. 727 Main St Frankfort, MI 49635 There will be a cash bar at the reception.
We respectfully request that guests do not take photographs during the ceremony as professional pictures will be taken throughout the day. We invite you to relax, enjoy the moment and we'll gladly share these images with you after the celebration.
