We’re getting married!

Morgan and Alex’s story began much before they even met. They both grew up in Mount Holly, going to the same schools and at one point even living 5 minutes from each other. They knew of each other throughout high school due to mutual friends and even had a Spanish class together. They weren’t formally introduced until Morgan’s freshman year of college. After 3 years of “just friends”, Alex decided to shoot his shot during the summer of Morgan’s senior year of college. On September 25th, 2022, Alex asked Morgan to be his girlfriend. Despite long distance, juggling school and work, and a year of night shift, their love for each other has only grown. On January 25, 2025, Alex asked Morgan to marry him.

Alex had planned a “late Christmas lunch” with both families at the Drift on Lake Wylie. What Alex had told Morgan was just a quick stop before lunch to pick up work supplies from Daniel Stowe, was actually a surprise proposal in the flower conservatory.
