We would love for our friends and family to get dressed up with us! We are kindly requesting cocktail attire. Suits, sport coats, gowns, and cocktail dresses are all welcome! While the daytime highs in Idaho Springs may reach 75°, the evening lows might dip into the low 50s. We would recommend bringing a light jacket as well.
No worries! Our caterer can accommodate any restrictions under the sun - just let us know your dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
Yes! We have arranged for shuttles to transport our lovely guests from Hotel Indigo Denver Downtown and Residence Inn Denver City Center to North Star Gatherings before the ceremony and back to the hotels following the reception. We highly encourage taking the shuttles! We do not recommend relying on Uber or Lyft as cell service in the mountains may be spotty. Shuttles are scheduled to depart both Hotel Indigo and Residence Inn at 2:15. Following the reception, shuttles will depart North Star Gatherings at both 8:00 (for those needing to leave early) and 10:00 at the end of the evening.
Yes! If you should choose to drive to North Star Gatherings yourself, please use Google Maps (not Apple Maps or Waze) and download directions ahead of time as cell service may be spotty. Keep in mind traffic in Denver is unpredictable, so please allow yourself extra time to get there. The recommended route to North Star Gatherings from Denver goes through Evergreen via Highway 103. This route avoids 12 switchbacks on Little Bear Creek Road. North Star Gatherings has a small parking lot on site (approximately 40 parking spots), so carpooling is encouraged. Please be aware that overnight parking at the venue is NOT allowed.
Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour (and maybe even some dancing) will be outside! Most of the reception will be indoors.
Yes! Since our venue sits at ~9,000 feet, and Denver is at 5,280 feet, we'd love to pass long the following tips to ensure the most enjoyable time for all: - Drink plenty of water, even when you don't feel thirsty - Eat lots of carbs - Don't overexert yourself - "One drink at sea level is two drinks up here!" .
