What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony will start at 3. Please allow plenty of time to arrive, parking in the area can be tricky.

Where do I go?

Answer

The ceremony is at the DC War Memorial. See map above. Street parking is available on Ohio Drive SW or West Basin Dr SW. Please allow ample time to find parking and use your parallel parking skills. If arriving by drop off, it is easiest to be dropped on West Basin Dr by the FDR or MLK Jr Memorial and you will cross Independence Avenue to get to the monument or be dropped at Homefront Dr SW and walk approx 3 min.

How long will this last?

Answer

The ceremony will likely be quick! Probably less than 15 minutes. We'll do family photos after the ceremony, so should be all done by 4.

Are there public restrooms?

Yes! See map above. We do strongly encourage you to use the restroom prior to arrival.

What do I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire please! More formal is also welcome. This is an outdoor venue, please dress appropriately for the weather. Make sure shoes are comfortable enough for a standing ceremony.

What are we doing about COVID?

Answer

We ask that all guests wear masks and respect social distancing. We encourage everyone who is able to get vaccinated. We are limiting numbers and ask that no one attend not listed on the invitation.
