In 2015, mutual friends were organizing a group trip to Ireland to take advantage of an amazing LivingSocial deal and without hesitation, both Tiff and Tommy decided to go! Leading up to the trip, Tiffany and Tommy began talking to come up with a game plan for what to do in Ireland because it was the first international trip they had taken in years. Tommy believes this is where the groundwork was laid with flirty conversations but Tiff thinks it was only friendly conversation. Though no matter how solid your plan is, the airlines had a different agenda and decided to leave her clothes in London (she only carries on luggage now). After waking up early the first morning, they decided to pick up some clothes to hold Tiff over until her bag arrived. Walking through the mall, trying to figure out how the heck European sizes compared to American, they began to hit it off. With commonalities in families, interests, religion, career paths, and more – conversations never felt short. Except, the only thing which stopped conversation was Tiff’s knack for falling asleep in the car, or better known as carcolepsy. At the end of the first day, they decided to go to an authentic pub where they ate, laughed, and enjoyed live music until the pub closed. Waiting for our friends to come outside, under the Irish night sky pouring down with rain, Tommy decided to be cliché and lean in for the first kiss. The remainder of the trip was truly one for the books and neither wanted to leave. The thought of going home to separate cities left an indecision looming over the newfound bond. Therefore, on the last night, Tommy told Tiff that he was going to date her back in the states (cheesy right?). After 1 year of long distance, then Tommy moving to LA, they now both reside in SF and continue to enjoy their new adventures. Tommy popped the question at Chrissy Field on November 2nd, 2019 with her family hiding and taking pictures, ready to surprise her!
