On the eve of August 3rd in 2019, right before the clock struck 12, Jamie was with her girlfriends where they were helping the bouncer check ID’s, at a live music bar on the Upper East Side. A few moments later, Kenneth entered the door at the same bar, with his friends. When Jamie and her friends asked for his ID, Kenneth said he did not have his. To her delight, Jamie bonded with Kenneth about also losing her ID. Fast forward, Jamie found Kenneth in the bar and she asked him, “do you want to be my friend?” After a couple of weeks of talking, Kenneth took Jamie to Union Square Cafe for their first official date. At that dinner, Kenneth swept Jamie off her feet with a bottle of champagne. On September 21, 2019, Jamie and Kenneth went to their first concert together where the sparks flew. This marked an important milestone in their relationship. This was the precursor to many other milestones to come. Not only did they thrive throughout the pandemic, they also moved into their first apartment and welcomed their adorable dog Macaroni into their lives. On September 21, 2022, exactly three years after the concert, Kenneth took Jamie to dinner at Union Square Cafe once again. After dinner, they went around the block to grab a drink at the Pierre Loti wine bar. This was the place where they had a cocktail before their first date.
