It’s up to you, however, you shouldn’t need to. We recommend that you Uber/Lyft from the airport downtown to your hotel (~15 mins). Once downtown, things are very walkable, or you can Uber around. Pedicabs are also available (https://charlestonpedicab.com/ or https://www.biketaxi.net/). Transportation will be provided to the ceremony/reception on Sunday, Sept 29. Check other FAQs for more details about shuttles.

Question

Are there any other events around the wedding?

Answer

Join us at Low Tide Brewing for a welcome gathering following our rehearsal dinner on Saturday, September 28 at 6:00 pm. We’d love to welcome you to Charleston at the place where we met! Low Tide is about 9 miles from downtown (2863 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island). Krystyna’s Authentic Polish Food Truck will be on site to purchase food until 8 pm and there will be live music from 6-8 pm. Our good friends Josh and Melissa have offered to be a shuttle service to and from the brewery. Due to limited seating in the vans, each person must individually sign up to reserve a spot on a shuttle to Low Tide. The shuttles will pick up at 5:15 pm and 6:15 pm at each of the hotels in the wedding block: Marriott Hotel (125 Calhoun Street) and The Hyatt (560 King Street) and Francis Marion (387 King Street). Here is the link: https://calendly.com/daveandkatie_low_tide_shuttle/marriot-to-low-tide-brewing Josh: 213-317-5063 Melissa: 843-998-1784 Shuttles will run back to Charleston from 7:15-10 pm (no sign up necessary). If the shuttle sign up is full to Low Tide, Uber/Lyft is also an option. Or if Low Tide doesn't fit into your schedule, we're planning to have a nightcap at the rooftop bar of The Hyatt at 9 pm. Space limited.
