Question

Do we have the whole farm & lodge reserved?

Answer

NO! Please be mindful that this is a public space and there will be guests not affiliated with our wedding staying on property. Make some new friends! :)

Question

What about meals?

Answer

Guests staying on the farm can purchase meal packages ($63/day) to dine at the onsite farm-to-table restaurant located in the Main Lodge. Please inquire with Graves Mountain when booking your lodging if interested. The food is delicious! Additionally, some of the lodging has full kitchens, kitchenettes, or minimal hotel-style coffee bar/microwave/mini-fridge. Please be sure to check out the website when planning to ensure you pack food appropriately or have a meal package in place ahead of time. The Main Lodge restaurant only houses 75 guests at a time, so they do strongly suggest a reservation. Please call Graves Mountain with any further inquiries.

Question

What is the alcohol policy?

Answer

Alcohol will be provided at the ceremony and reception. Per Graves Mountain, please refrain from drinking alcohol in common areas/public spaces on property. Alcohol can be purchased and consumed at the bar at the Main Lodge. Additionally, guests can bring their own alcohol onsite if indulging in close proximity to your booked house/room.

What do I wear for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We ask that all guests come dressed in semi-formal to dressy casual attire. There will be plenty of opportunities to dress down through the weekend festivities, but for the ceremony and reception we want to jazz it up a bit to celebrate our 12 year long journey of making it to the altar! Please plan your attire to be appropriate for being outside.

Question

Will I need transportation for any of the wedding events/activities?

Answer

All formal wedding activities and events are taking place on property at Graves Mountain Farm & Lodge except for the welcome event at DuCard Vineyard on Thursday evening. The ceremony and reception will be at the Sycamore Pavilion which is within walking distance from most of the houses/lodges and the Main Lodge; however, there will be an area for parking for any guests not staying onsite or who feel they would rather drive. Additionally, guests may need transportation if venturing out for hikes, shopping, or visiting local attractions. Please be sure to check out the map on the Graves Mountain website to determine your proximity to festivities!

What is the nearest airport?

Answer

All airports are still a drive away from the venue. We ask that guests coordinate with each other if renting cars or needing rides. Please reach out to Brent & Christina if you are unable to secure a ride to the venue and we may be able to connect you with another guest coming from your area. Nearby airports: Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO) - 30.4 miles (approximately 39 minute drive) Richmond International Airport (RIC) - 103 miles (approximately 2 hour drive) Dulles International Airport (IAD) - 78 miles (approximately an hour and a half drive) Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) - 100 miles (approximately 2 hour drive)

Question

Is anybody interested in carpooling to get to/from Graves Mountain from any of the nearby airports?

Answer

We have several guests travelling from afar. We are so grateful to have everyone together and wanted to give you all a way to be in touch in case you need to coordinate travel to/from airports.
