Nick and Lauren first officially crossed paths once Lauren started high school, quickly becoming friends through their shared love of music and mutual friends in the marching band. Both played the French horn—a fun coincidence that sparked a sweet friendship. What Nick didn’t know then (he absolutely did know) was that Lauren had a huge crush on him. Life took them in different directions for a while. Nick graduated and headed to Texas A&M, and the two lost touch. Years later, Lauren was accepted to Texas A&M as well, and when she arrived in College Station in 2020, they reconnected. What started as old friends catching up quickly turned into something more. On November 3, 2020, they began dating—and never looked back. Just a few months later, Nick graduated a semester early and moved to Pasadena, TX, to start chiropractic school. Even though they had only been dating for a short time, they both knew: this was it. They were in it for the long haul. Over the next four years, they made long-distance look easy—driving back and forth on weekends, supporting each other through busy schedules, exams, and milestones. Through it all, they only grew stronger. Then, on June 29, 2024, at their favorite winery in Dallas, Nick got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him. Now, they’re so excited to finally say “I do” and begin the next chapter of their beautiful journey—this time, side by side.
