Alex and Melissa met on the dating app Bumble! Shocking, we know. We exchanged initial messages for a few days and decided to schedule a phone call before meeting in person. Our first phone call lasted two hours and we had to cut ourselves off because of how late it was. The next day we talked on the phone another couple of hours, and the day after that too. We noted how we couldn't run out of things to talk about and how natural our connection felt without even meeting yet. The following weekend we set up our first date and met face to face at a local bakery near where Alex grew up, Le Chatelaine in Worthington. We ate breakfast and then walked around the Worthington Market. The market was closing up after we did a loop but we weren't ready for our time to end, so we took a drive and Alex showed Melissa some of his favorite spots in the area from his childhood. We both went home knowing we had something really special and very eager for future dates. Melissa recalls telling a few of her friends after the date that she felt confident they would date seriously. Alex was already certain that Melissa was his future wife.
