We're getting married!

Kaitlin and Ryan met on October 14, 2017 at a mutual friend's house. Their two friends had thought the pair would be a perfect match. KK & Ryan weren’t aware of that at the time. On August 13, 2018, they went to wild waves with those same friends. This was the first time they really got to know each other. After some alone time, KK thought Ryan was sweet and she was comfortable with him. Ryan thought KK was a kind-hearted person. They exchanged texts for a few days after hanging out and KK ultimately decided that living in Oregon would make it too difficult to pursue a relationship. In January of 2019, Ryan was visiting a friend in Southern Oregon and on his way home, he and KK tried to go out for lunch. A family emergency prevented them from meeting. Once KK moved back to Washington and was settled, she reached out to Ryan. Finally, the timing was right! On October 4th, 2019, they went on their first date to the haunted fairgrounds. Ryan thought it was the perfect opportunity to share an exhilarating experience together, and to maybe sneak a terrified hand-hold. Afterward Ryan cooked KK a chicken dinner. She was a fan of his cooking skills! KK knew after the first date that this was a guy that made her feel safe, but again, she still had her reservations. On November 2nd, KK told Ryan she was all in. He was ecstatic and been all in the whole time! Now, they were happily on the same page. After an adventurous day in Seattle, Ryan said "I love you" for the first time, on a ferry ride home. Several wonderful months later, KK and Ryan were happily thinking about a future together. On President's Day weekend, KK took Ryan to the Oregon coast for her annual family beach weekend. Ryan knew this was her truest happy place and on February 16th, Ryan took KK down to the beach. He took some photos of her with his camera and then asked her if she was happy, and when she answered yes, he got down on one knee...
