Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Please head to Whitwell Park, NorthShore, Rutland Water, just off the A606 Oakham to Stamford road (follow brown tourist signs for Rutland Water North Shore). Postcode: LE15 8BL

Is there parking onsite?

Answer

Car parking is provided for everyone. There are complementary car park exit tickets provided & these will be handed over to you on the day. Take a ticket on arrival to the car park & you will be issued a replacement token when leaving the car park.

Can cars be left in the car park overnight?

Answer

Rutland Water is happy for cars to be left in the car park overnight if you decide to take an alternative form of transport home or to nearby accommodation. Please let us know if this is likely so we can inform the teams. Your car can then be collected from 9.00am the following day. Car park exit tickets that were issued the day before will be valid the day after too.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is summer smart. We are pretty chilled about what you wear but ask that there is no denim. It is important to be aware that we are in a marquee on grass so please consider this for your footwear! We would also recommend you bring something warm.

Are children welcome?

Answer

Whilst we love all your little ones, our wedding is going to be for adults only so you can all relax and enjoy the day child free! However, for babies who who have not yet been weened, we will happily make exceptions. Please let Jack or I know if you are one of these parents.

I need to book a taxi, who do I call?

Answer

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Absolutely. There will be a drinks and canapes reception followed a BBQ style dinner, so watch that BBQ sauce on your outfits!

I have dietary requirements, what shall I do?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP so we can accommodate.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We're afraid not. Our wedding is invite only as we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can't make it to the wedding, please do let us know by January the 31st 2020 and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. If you RSVP with 'yes' and closer to the wedding you are unable to make it due to circumstances, please let us know ASAP dropping myself or Jack a note to our phones or email ward2richardson@gmail.com

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Tough to answer! It is the end of June so we are hoping for pleasant conditions but as you all know, it's pot luck. We are on the side of a lake so it can get windy so please come prepared.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors. Our celebrations will be inside and outside of a marquee. If weather permits we hope some time will be spent out in the open.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Of course! I love a bit of social media (unlike my other half) we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo to our wedding Insta account - '@ward2richarson' so we can keep track of all of your pictures.
