Flight
DFW International Airport [DFW] has a variety of flight options and times from most major airports as it is considered one of the busiest airports in the nation. DFW is located on the West side of Dallas and is a short 20-minute drive to just about any area of the metroplex (traffic not included in this time estimate). Car rentals, Uber, Lyft, and Alto are all easy options and ride share is also available.
Flight
Dallas Love Field Airport [DAL] is known as a smaller, regional airport with fewer flights. Included airlines are limited to Alaska, Delta, and Southwest. It has its perks though, depending on when and where you're flying, and is simply a 10-20 minute drive to the heart of Dallas.
Travel Note
Dallas traffic is unfortunately unavoidable, but the best times to fly in are mornings through mid-day and evenings. We highly suggest avoiding rush-hour times, which in Dallas are typically between the hours of 4pm and 7pm, if at all possible!
Hotel
The Joule is a boutique luxury hotel that artfully integrates historic preservation with contemporary design. Built in the 1920s, this neo-Gothic landmark building was originally the Dallas National Bank. This hotel is now known to be a cultural hub, dining and retail destination, and downtown neighborhood gathering place. Some of the hotel rooms overlook the Giant Eyeball; one of the city's most distinctive, 30 foot fiberglass, art sculpture installation. If you're driving down Main Street, you can't not see it! The Joule is slightly under one mile away from The Nasher Sculpture Center which gives you the option to choose between a convenient, five minute drive or a fifteen minute walk!
