Flight
We recommend flying into Chania Airport. There are direct flights from London to Crete. Flying from London should take approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes. The airport is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes from the Rethymno area. We recommend booking flights as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We will be arriving in Crete on the 9th and leaving on the 18th of September 2026.
Travel Note
September is one of the loveliest times to visit Crete. The days are warm and sunny, with average temperatures around 26–28°C, and the sea is perfect for swimming. It’s still very much summer, but a little less intense than July or August—think sunshine, gentle breezes, and golden evenings. We recommend bringing lightweight clothes, sun protection, and something to layer for cooler nights.
Travel Note
As we want our guests to feel comfortable and stay in any form of accommodation that suits their preferences and budget for the duration of their stay, we have not arranged transportation from specific hotels to the wedding events. Taxis and transfers can be arranged easily beforehand via your accommodation and through private taxi companies. All hotels would be happy to arrange pre-bookable transport to get you to and from the wedding events.

There will be a shuttle at midnight, when the event finishes, to take guests from the venue back to Rethymnon.
