We’re getting married!

We met online thru the Facebook Dating app when Michael reached out on 8/16/2023. Michael didn’t just say hello (like so many do). He actually started a conversation. In four days, we chatted about work, retirement, family dynamics and travel. Each day’s conversation was a continuation … it just flowed very nicely and kept us wanting to know more. Everyone who knows me, knows I’m never at a loss for words. Well, I met my match! Michael is a talker too! On 8/20, Michael suggested we take the call to video and was ready right then. I had not long gotten home from work, was half dressed and hair messy from pulling off my clothes. Now I’m running around to re-dress from the bottom up, refreshing my face and fixing my hair. Yep, I was exhausted! The video call was good and we spent an embarrassing amount of time just smiling. Yep, we were, for the first time, at a loss for words. Three days later, I had given Michael my direct number. The Facebook Dating app was a wrap! We continued our journey of getting to know each other. Michael became my travel companion (by phone) when I drove and spent a week in South Carolina and back home. By this time, I wanted to share everything with him. Michael suggested our first physical meet on October 20th. He came to Maryland directly from Kentucky from visiting his Grandson and family. Michael’s brain was on overload as to how that first meeting would play out. Would she like what she saw in person, don’t forget the deodorant and cologne, etc. It happened! We were both pleased with what we saw. That first hug and kiss made all the anxiety melt away. It was smooth sailing until … HOURS later I found the biggest and darkest green spinach leaf in my teeth in the front. He never said a word with me walking around smiling. On November 17th 2023, unbeknownst to each other, we planned to profess our love to each other. THAT was a beautiful moment! On October 19, 2024, we got engaged. Our journey continues …
