We are planning to send out formal invitations several months before the wedding. The invitations will then have instructions for how and when to RSVP.
We are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Target. We also have a few items listed on this website. Please see our "Registry" tab for more info and links to the registries!
In order to keep our guest list on track and abide by the amount of people that our reception venue allows, we ask that only those whose names appear addressed on the formal invitation please attend. Children that are invited will be listed on the formal invitation. If you are invited to bring a guest, your invitation will read, "and Guest". Thank you for understanding!
When you officially RSVP for the wedding we will make sure there is a box to fill in any dietary restrictions you may have. Please let us know this information sooner rather than later so that we have enough time to alert our caterer. Thanks!
Please see the "Travel" tab on our website!
There will be transportation provided to and from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in St. Charles. The shuttle will leave from the hotel at 5:10pm and 5:30pm. The shuttle will then leave Riverside Receptions and head back to the hotel at 10:45pm and 11:15pm. A flyer with more information will be posted in the lobby.
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.
Yes. The church has both a ramp entrance and an elevator for those who may need it. Our reception venue also has a ramp and an elevator.
Immanuel Lutheran Church has 3 parking lots, which will be available the day of the wedding. There are also many handicap parking spaces to accommodate those who may need it.
There is a sizeable parking lot across the street from our venue which you can park in. If that lot is full (which we don't anticipate happening!), there are other surface lots only a short walk away.
It is about a 40 minute drive from the church to the reception. This being said, we want to leave enough time for people to travel safely between locations. Please refer to the "Things to do" tab on this website if you have extra time between the ceremony and reception. You are also welcome to head out to Geneva after the ceremony and walk along the Fox River. If not, our reception venue is also right on the river so you will have a great view later.
We will be personally contacting family/family friends if we would like you to stay for extra pictures after the ceremony. We will try to move this process along quickly/smoothly so that everyone is able to have ample time to get to the reception. If you are not asked to stay for pictures, please feel free to make your way out to the reception or see our "Things to do" tab on this website! We would love to get pictures with you at the reception :)
Yes! Please bring shoes that you are comfortable dancing in for the night! We want everyone to have a good time and be comfortable.
