Bride
I’m the Bride—and the one usually in charge of the plans (and let’s be honest… most things). I love traveling, hockey games, and any excuse to cross into Canada—if I could move there tomorrow, I would. I’m always chasing the next adventure, but my favorite part of all of it is who I get to share it with. Life with him is anything but boring, and I wouldn’t have it any other way
Groom
As Matthew has discovered, life with the bride is never boring. From kidnapping her to go to a different state within a week of knowing her to proposing at Niagara Falls, the two get up to some crazy hijinks. But ever since they met, he knew that Samantha was his one true love. Now, Matthew takes a big leap as he says "I do" to the bride! Fun fact: Canada is the favorite place of the new couple. They have gone many times and plan to travel there very soon!
Maid of Honor
Lexi and the bride met at work, where she proved that everything is better with a little chaos. She can play both the alto and tenor sax (casual), somehow keeps up with five animals at home, and is the only person to ever get the bride to eat fried chicken—because she made it herself. Whether she’s causing the chaos or just thriving in it, Lexi always keeps things interesting.
Bridesmaid
My bridesmaid is my cool older cousin—the one who’s always a trendsetter. Effortlessly stylish, naturally funny, and always the one who just gets it, she somehow makes everything look easy. Truly, she walked so the rest of us could run. I couldn’t imagine this day without her by my side.
Bridesman
Jackson is the bride’s oldest friend, and has been by her side through every phase of life. Now an actor and director based in New York City, where life is just as chaotic as you’d expect. Having been coached by a Tony Award–winning actress, he brings undeniable talent to everything he does. When he’s not on stage or behind the scenes, he’s likely making a passionate case for Taco Bell as a lifestyle choice. Equal parts creative, chaotic, and unforgettable, Jackson has been keeping life interesting for years.
Best Man
Hailing from Grand Rapids, Landen has been there since day one. The groom's best man is his go-to when it comes to a party. From the endless trips out to the lake to the bottomless brews consumed, Landen and Matthew are nearly inseparable when their paths cross. He is gracious to have Samantha as family and she can't wait to make in drown in draw 2's. Fun fact: Landen is a black belt in Karate, so be warned!
Groomsman
Austin is juggling two roles in this momentous occasion. He is the brother of the Bride, but more importantly, he is here to start the party as a groomsman. While only knowing the Groom for a short time, they have already drank around the world together. He is excited to help the couple-to-be take off on their new relationship together! Fun fact: Austin recently obtained his pilot's license, so keep your eyes peeled to the skies for his next adventure!
Mother of the Bride
The bride’s mother is a woman of strength, determination, and undeniable presence—but above all else, she is always cold. No matter the season, the temperature, or the setting, she somehow manages to be chilly. A fun fact: she once dreamed of becoming an interpreter for the deaf, a reflection of her caring nature. She loves to dance and brings a lively energy wherever she goes. Through hard work and perseverance, she rose to a position of true leadership, earning the respect of everyone around her. Known for her sharp eye and strong opinions, she ensures everything is done just right.
Father of the Groom
Dave, also known as "The most interesting man in the world" has been with Matthew every step of the way. He has bestowed his wealth of knowledge on him through sharing his plethora of stories. Fun fact: Did you know Dave has delivered a calf in a barn? Or that he once officiated a wedding? He is full of adventures and is happy to share them with anyone who will lend an ear. He is ecstatic to welcome in Samantha to his life and has an always-open text thread with her dedicated to Matthew's escapades over the years!
Mother of the Groom
Sharon and Matthew have always enjoyed a good day on the water. She's taught him a lot about how to enjoy the waves and play in the ocean. Together, they have spent countless weekends together enjoying Elizabeth Lake. A lady of many hats, she's always hopping from one thing to the next. When the wedding was announced, she made sure to clear her schedule and is ready to party! Fun fact: During one of the cruises she worked, Sharon met famous opera singer Andrea Bocelli; a favorite of hers!
Grandmother of the Bride
My grandma is one of the most important people in my life—she helped raise me into the person I am today. She’s strong, loving, and somehow always knows exactly what to say. She’s also full of surprises—she once won a beer contest at the Blueberry Festival! She’s traveled to all 50 states and explored several places around the world, but no matter where she goes, family is always at the center of everything she does.
Aunt of the Bride
My favorite Aunt Donna didn’t just join our family vacations—she made them. She’s been the official entertainment director for as long as I can remember, always keeping things fun (and occasionally a little chaotic). Let’s just say she once duct-taped my brother to a chair… and somehow that still checks out. She’s truly one of a kind, and life is way more fun with her in it.
Officiant
Michael has been known to travel around the world, but his most recent excursion lands him in the center of the aisle. While he is a veteran at officiating, he has yet to conduct a wedding like this! While being Matthew's cousin, he had the Bride hooked from when he said "I want to make butter from scratch!" Be on the lookout for his whimsical words during the ceremony!
