We are getting married in Hawaii and am inviting all of you to come celebrate with us! Please use this website to learn more about our story and to submit your reservation for our special day. We can't wait to see you there!
Of course, Walton made the first move by initiating the first text to Josie. :) After texting back and forth for days, Walton finally asked Josie to go on a first date. And oh my gosh, we just knew we were made for each other! After grabbing lunch at a Korean restaurant (what has become one of favorite cuisines), we decided to grab boba at Share Tea. Out of the entire menu, we somehow happened to order the exact same drink: Mango Green Tea Creama. And with that delicious drink in hand, we sat down and literally talked for 4 hours without even realizing it. Everything just felt so natural. We continued to chat daily afterwards and after some time, Walton decided to officially ask Josie out during lunch. Of course, Walton decided to ask at the perfect time while Josie was eating and in the middle of biting on a piece of Chinese beef pancake... :D So Josie quickly swallowed her bite and said “YES”. This begun our amazing, adventurous, one of kind, boba-filled love story and we can't wait to enter the next chapter of our lives.
Since the start of the year, Walton had a plan that he wanted to propose to Josie. For a couple months he schemed, working closely with friends and family to plan the ultimate surprise proposal (and to secretly purchase the ring). Walton decided to do the proposal at Meydenbauer Bay Park in Bellevue, a beautiful waterfront location he had previously scouted with his close friend. At first, getting Josie to go to the park was a challenge so Walton and friends needed to come up with a new creative solution. That solution was a fake fundraising event hosted by Walton's friend's Brazilian Jujitsu club at the park. And it worked! On March 3rd, 2021, we put on our formal wear and headed to the park with the ring secretly hidden in Walton's left pocket. Upon arrival, Walton guided Josie with her eyes closed to the secret balcony location already decorated in flowers and balloons by our friends. Walton removed Josie's face mask and asked her the question as the sun continued to shine bright on what was mostly a rainy day. She said yes. :)
