Ryan and Miranda met when he was 13 and Miranda was 12. One of their mutual friends brought him by to hang out and Miranda instantly was crushin' on Ryan. Of course, he just wanted to be friends so that is all anything amounted to through high school. Ryan's sister, Paige, and Miranda became really good friends and Miranda even told Paige she was going to marry her brother one day!! Fast forward, Miranda and Ryan went their separate ways and then after college they reconnected and the rest is history!

It was Ryan's birthday. He wanted to walk around the Conagra pond which has a beautiful fountain on the way to a local bar in downtown Omaha. So Miranda got dressed and was excited to celebrate his birthday. It was a beautiful day with perfect sunny weather! They were talking about how they wanted to decorate their new house. Ryan asked Miranda how she wanted to decorate the living room and suggested she use pictures from their engagement.... She said, "Well yea, whenever we do get engaged, I will." Ryan tugged on her hand and when she turned around he was down on one knee asking her to marry him! She was, for the first time in her life, speechless.
