After chatting on Bumble, Daniel and Emily met at his favorite local bistro - Bigelo's. He anxiously waited for her arrival; she was late and nervously trying to find parking. He had a beer waiting for her and later that night he bought her frozen custard. It was love at first bite.

Daniel went on his first ever vacation with Emily's family to Florida. It was a long drive for a concert in the car. They spent time sun-bathing, having cocktails on the beach, and kayaking. She had been waiting for the word to come out, and he finally said it. He probably said it another 50 times that day.

She had sent out a few anonymous email "hints" for ring ideas to him throughout the year and had a feeling it might be coming. They began a tradition of creating an ornament each year with photos from the prior year together. He surprised her with a note leading her to the ornament hung on the tree and as she turned around, he was on one knee. His physical therapist said he couldn't do it that soon after his knee injury, but he was determined. She didn't quite find the words to say yes, but she did nod in agreement while tearing up and grinning ear to ear.
