Some nearby favorites include: Smarts Brook Trail – Located along Route 49 toward Waterville Valley, this trail offers beautiful waterfalls and a peaceful forest setting. Artist’s Bluff & Bald Mountain Trail – A short but rewarding hike with sweeping views of Franconia Notch and Cannon Mountain. The Eddy Day Use Area – A local favorite for swimming and relaxing by the river, located just minutes from the resort.

Enjoy pickleball & tennis right on site at Owls Nest Resort! Whether you’re a seasoned player or trying something new, the Owl’s Nest Racquet Complex offers plenty of opportunities to get on the court. Guests can participate in clinics or simply book court time to play at their own pace. The complex features European red clay tennis courts and dedicated pickleball courts, making it a great place to enjoy some friendly competition while taking in the mountain views.

Enjoy a heated saltwater pool and a 15-person jacuzzi right on site! The pool is open resort guests, and day pass holders. The pool is open year-round, but hours will adjust accordingly as the seasons change. There is no lifeguard is on duty, please swim at your own risk!

For those who enjoy spending time on the water, the Boathouse offers easy access to Lake Harold. Guests can enjoy activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, or pedal boating while taking in beautiful views of the surrounding White Mountains.
