Staci and Walter met how most couples do today - online. Their first date was supposed to be March 20, 2020, however, the universe had other plans. This was the day the world went on lockdown due to the pandemic! Instead, they met for a picnic on March 22, 2020 on a cold spring day. After their first date, Staci and Walter unfortunately did not get to see each other for almost 2 months due to the state of uncertainty. They had lots of FaceTime dates and took the time to get to know one another better. Shortly after they reconnected in person in May, they spent almost every weekend together! Staci & Walter are lucky enough to keep the anniversary of their first date as the date of their wedding.

In April 2022 the couple moved into their first home together in Abington, PA with their 2 cats Eloise and Darci. On Saturday November 26, 2022 Staci and Walter went to buy their first Christmas tree for their home together. Staci was eager to check things off of the decorating "to-do" list once they arrived home with their tree, while Walter was more excited to hang ornaments. After some lights were hung and decorations were placed, they finally began decorating the tree. Walter set it up so Staci was placing ornaments on the tree as he handed them to her. The last ornament he handed her was a customized wooden ornament that read "Staci, Will you marry me?" that was handed to her upside down. When she flipped it over and turned around, Walter was on one knee and popped the question!
