After talking online for a few days, Walter drove up to the coffee shop I worked at and waited until I was off work. We then went mini golfing and decided whoever lost would buy dinner. He supposedly let me win, but we didn't want our day to end there. I asked if he wanted a rematch and we drove to a different mini golf course and whoever lost that one needed to pay for ice cream. I let him win the second mini golf and from there, we both knew that we wouldn't stop seeing each other.
I have always loved carving pumpkins. We went to get all the supplies and set up an area in our apartment. He set up two chairs and put a blanket on them that divided the two of us. He wanted us to have a competition and our family would decide the winner! When we finished our pumpkins, he took away the blanket and he had carved, "Will you marry me?" into his pumpkin.
