Short North Arts District
Lively arts and entertainment district located south of the OSU campus and north of downtown. Great for shopping and exploring, food, and drinks. Restaurant reservations encouraged during peak times and most parking is paid through the ParkColumbus app.
German Village
Historic neighborhood with beautiful 19th century homes and shops and brick-lined streets. Recommend checking out the 32-room Book Loft, Katzingers Deli, Schmidt's, Jeni's Ice Cream, and Antiques on High for beer and cocktails.
Historic Dublin and Bridge Park
Less centrally located, but with convenient free or validated parking. There are options for food and drinks on both sides of the Scioto River with a pedestrian bridge connection.
Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
Set on 40 acres on the east side of Franklin Park, the Conservatory is home to the historic 1895 John F. Wolfe Palm House, along with 83,000 square feet of glasshouses and botanical gardens. It also houses the largest collection of Dale Chihuly’s glass art in any botanical garden, and every evening, the Palm House lights up with James Turrell’s stunning Light Raiment II installation, glowing from dusk until dawn.
Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
One of the spots Walter and Kelly visited during their first date weekend, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium—featured on National Geographic’s Secrets of the Zoo—is home to over 10,000 animals from 600 species around the world.
Katalina's in Harrison West
Where Walter and Kelly first met. A small and busy breakfast and brunch spot! Highly recommend the pancake balls, breakfast tacos, and Mazatlan pork and egg sandwich.
