Some towns have bell towers, classic courthouses or breweries as their identity. Petaluma has its creamery – and is proud of it. Since its founding over 105 years ago, the creamery has been a story about cows, people, rollercoaster milk markets and the trucks that move milk from farm to table.
Muir Woods National Monument is part of California’s Golden Gate National Recreation Area, north of San Francisco. It’s known for its towering old-growth redwood trees. Trails wind among the trees to Cathedral Grove and Bohemian Grove, and along Redwood Creek. The Ben Johnson and Dipsea trails climb a hillside for views of the treetops, the Pacific Ocean and Mount Tamalpais in adjacent Mount Tamalpais State Park.
The best microbrewery in town with equally bomb grub. Jacque spent many high school days eating here and then many college + post college days drinking here. A brewery that we keep a secret from the rest of the world cause its just that good.
Another legendary Sonoma County microbrewery. If you are up for a little road trip then you visit the OG location that opened in 1995 in Cloverdale (110 Sandholm Ln, Cloverdale, CA 95425). Otherwise you can take a stop at the location in Rohnert Park. Sit along the pond, glug some microbrews, eat some good food (orrr drive across the street and get some In n Out).
Take a cruise along the notorious California Highway 1. Soak in Bodega Bay, Salmon Creek, Goat Rock and so many more beautiful North Coast Beaches. Bring a blanky and a jacket :)

There are two ways to soak in the beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge: 1) Drive up the scenic mountain route in Sausalito and look over the bay, the bridge, and the city 2) Walk the bridge To fully enjoy this beautiful landmark you should do both!! *If you are super adventurous you can even hike to the secret swing nestled in the Kirby Cove Campground just below the bridge and you can swing above the water of the bay with the bridge towering above you in the background.
The Point Reyes Lighthouse, built in 1870, was retired from service in 1975 when the U.S. Coast Guard installed an automated light. Point Reyes is the windiest place on the Pacific Coast and the second foggiest place on the North American continent. Weeks of fog, especially during the summer months, frequently reduce visibility to hundreds of feet. The Point Reyes Headlands, which jut 10 miles out to sea, pose a threat to each ship entering or leaving San Francisco Bay. The historic Point Reyes Lighthouse warned mariners of danger for more than a hundred years.
Head to San Francisco's Alamo Square to visit the famous opening scene from Full House. Say hi to the 'Painted Ladies'; the colorful victorian houses that have the downtown skyline as their backdrop. Bring a picnic and lay in the park for a midday chill.
