Deboney D . Gainer

Bride

I am HER

Walter Smith

Groom

I’m the man

Margaret Gainer

Mother of the Bride

Deboney has always been the sunshine of the family. She gives off an electrifying energy that makes you exhausted so make sure you are mentally and physically fit for her “boot camp” and don’t forget your vitamins. Deboney believes your light should shine like the SUN with hope, determination, sincerity and boldness. She refuses to allow anyone to steal her joy. It’s been rewarding to see her heart captured by someone who makes her faint. I am proud of the lady you have become. You wrote the vision, declared it before God and followed the path of your dreams. What a reward! Continue to follow your heart and always be a lady. Graciously thankful, Mommy

Juanita Smith

Mother of the Groom

Walter is my first born son. I have a lot of favorable moments with him. Walter always rode in the front seat of the car. His sister was upset because she also wanted to sit up front sometimes. We were driving home, he looked at me with a slight smirk and said “your back seat is on fire”. He enjoyed seeing someone else getting a beating other than him.

Allen Gainer

Father of the Bride

As your Father I find this to be true “LOVE is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define and impossible to live without”. Love is work, but it is worth every sweat and tear when you realize that you did it TOGETHER. We have done a lot together I cherish the memories and look forward to creating more with the addition of a new son. I'm lucky to have a daughter like you. I wouldn't trade our friendship for anything else in the world. You make life so enjoyable without trying to be anything more than yourself. Love, Dad

Dezma Gainer

Maid of Honor

I am Dezma. I have a beautiful, radiant and charming son named Blaise, with my fiancée Robert. We have another baby boy baking in the oven. By the time you see us, you will see him. We like to call him Baby Telfort for now. Even though Deboney and I are four years apart, I like to think that I am the oldest...along with everyone else. Like any sibling she gets on my VERY last nerve but I wouldn’t trade her for the world. I like to call her my pitbull because in my time of need she is ready to “go get ‘em” on my behalf. Sister, the feeling is mutual. I’m excited to see her transition as a wife and mother. I’m excited to be apart of her journey. I know it’s going to be a colorful one. Walter, I’m here if you need me to get her straight. I’ll teach you all my tricks bro I love you both.

Jessica Grant - Mackey

Matron of Honor

I met Debo in the 6th grade. It was Math class that we started to become friends because Debo use to call the teacher Ken (male Barbie doll because of her low boyish haircut) Our feelings were mutual but I expressed mine differently but I liked her style! She was very vocal and she was willing to get her parents called for the cause! Since then we have stayed true to each other as best friends! My favorite memory..sooooo many! But one for the books is when she first went to South Beach and got drunk and I had to take her home knock on her parents door... run to my car and drive away! No face no case! And the only reason I’m telling now is because her parents know it wasn’t my fault. We also initiated Dezma too before she went to college but I won’t incriminate myself.

Fredrick Smith

Best Man

Hello my name is Fredrick Smith, married to my wife Genora Smith. I am the brother of Walter Smith. Walt and I didn't grow up in the same household. I actually met Walt when I was about 8yrs old when our dad took us to see him play football. This continued up until bro left for college, I enjoyed seeing my big brother. But we our now inseparable. We both share a love for sports, pool, road trips and family outings.

Alyse Smalls

Bridesmaid

Hey, I am Alyse. I’m a Georgia babbbby...... Deboney and I met at Home Depot. My favorite memories would be when she took me to my first concert which was Rihanna and when she took me to Miami, Fl we rode jet skis.

Lolita Craig - Davis

Bridesmaid

My name is Lolita Davis, I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am married to Rickey Davis, we have been together 28 years and our union is blessed with four children and one grandchild. I have been friends with Deboney for about 15 years or more. Over the years I have seen my friend go from being “bout it, bout it” to “I’m just going to walk away”. I am so proud of the woman that Deb has become and I am looking forward to seeing her in the role of a wife and mother. Deboney is definitely a one of a kind and I love her for always being herself. I can’t wait to see her smile from ear to ear and cry tears of joy at the same time on her special day.

Kenyata Hall

Bridesmaid

I’m Kenyata. I’m in love with God, eating and vacationing. I am following my purpose as a Nurse. I’m married to my amazing husband Q for 9 years we are also dog parents. I met Deboney through her sister, Dezma. She actually stole me, to be exact. We are beyond just close friends more like sistas. Omg! Where do I begin? Deboney is one of the livest most uplifting person I know. Her energy is contagious. When she’s in the room trust and believe you’re about to have a good time. Anytime I’ve ever had any major accomplishments Deboney was there. Fun fact about Deboney is she’s low key the biggest teddy bear. She can come off hard and the roughest trillers person but underneath all of that she is truly the sweetest most caring person I know.

Fabiola Delerme

Bridesmaid

I met Faby 14 years ago at Miami Centrel Senior located in Miami, FL where a friendship, sisterhood journey began. I call Faby my “Golden Girl”. Faby’s never will forget story about me is when she “claims” she asked me to watch her 3yr son at the time for a few minutes while she went to her office. I don’t remember even being asked but Faby won’t forget it and still reminds me “that she found her son wondering around with no adult” today. Needless to say, "I am attentive today to my nieces and nephews".

I met Walter in 2001 and we became really great friends. We always come through for each other. If there is something I need he always have it and if there is something he needs I always have it. I have nothing funny to say except that he is the cheapest person I have ever met in my life whole entire life! LOL! Walter is a great person and and one of the best friends anyone could ever have!

Tyrone Wells

Groomsman

I'm Ty Walls and I work for the District Attorney's office. I have worked for Clayton County for almost 28yrs. I met Walt over 25 years ago when I was a police officer with Clayton County Sheriff. We actually met at the old Georgia International Convention Center working part-time. We clicked instantly and became friends. Walt has the type of personality that would put you at ease. But don't piss him off or you would see the Washington High south side Walt. That voice goes up high and then you here, “What you say" or “hold up now ". Through the years he's always been a dependable friend. Someone you can count on. I'm honored to call him my friend.

Damon Stroizer

Groomsman

I would like to start off, by saying its truly an honor to be apart of this beautiful union of two.... As I speak on myself. I will say most don't know, Im such a soft hearted guy, with a funny personality, once known! Many take my rough around the edges look as unapproachable, but as I always say "Don't judge a book, by the cover" I met Walter, which we call him "old man" which is our little inside joke! But we met Walt through my sister Deboney. I must say, he has truly been a blessing to my sister's life, and I'm looking forward to adding Walt to my immediate family as a brother. I will say the most memorable moment, is the proposal, when Walt started singing....that was truly a old school move he used, which got her ass.

Walter Wolfork

Groomsman

I am Walter Woolfork. I’ve been employed as a Deputy Sheriff for 25 years. I’ve been a DEA Agent, Internal Affairs Officer and several other jobs throughout the Sheriff’s Office. This is a small note about myself and Walter Smith. I met Smitty while working at the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office. We formed a friendship thru work and shit talking! He loves the Carolina Tarheels and I am a Duke Blue Devil fan. Eight Miles of hatred and we wouldn’t have it any other way! My favorite memory is Dirty Awards and probably looking at the females during the Hair Shows. Smitty is “TIGHT” with the dollars! I stood with him most of two days and convinced him to spend money on his truck (which he loves now).

Curtis Johnson

Best Man

I am CJ I met LT in 2002 when I was a Jailer. When I got on the road, I said to myself, that is how I want to be smiling and positive attitude just as LT had been with me. I had the opportunity to work with him when I transferred to the Fugitive Unit in 2007. He took me under his wing then and I'm still under his wing now! He has talked me off several ledges in my life and groomed me to become one of the best and most knowledgeable Investigators in the Agency. In 2008 as I sat on the floor in my apart eating sardines and Ramen noodles, Walter ensured that I had when I did not! I'm forever grateful to him. He encouraged me to stand tall during the Mental slump I was dwelling in. I'm honored to call him my Hero and Brother, but I'm privileged to call him my Friend! I love you LT.

Skyla Grant

Flower Girl

My god child

Olivia Griffian

The Ringer

My name is Olivia Griffian. I met Deboney at North Carol City Elementary. I had just switched schools and she quickly embraced me as a new friend. In 2010, after running into each other at a football game, our childhood friendship was reignited with a beautiful flame and has continued since then. My favorite quirks about Deb is how in sync we are. She will call me at the most random hour and ask me the most random question (with NO detail). And what’s crazy is that I’ll know EXACTLY who/ or what she’s talking about…with no details! I’ve always appreciated how I can call Deb anytime for anything and she’ll have my back. She’s always been honest with me, no matter what and our friendship has truly helped me become a better person. I am a better person because of her.

Hello I'm Darell "cousin deedee" Gainer. I am one of the favorite cousins of Ms. Deboney. Living in FL originally from Hartford, Ct. Her father and my father were first cousins.
