Carly and Walter's journey to find one another has been quietly working in the background for decades. Carly grew up in NC, lived in Spain and Italy for 3 years and Austin Texas. Walt grew up in PA and lived in Denver, CO for 10 years. Walter and Carly are both passionate about nature and sustainability. Walter's career is in renewable energy working in solar and Carly is passionate and loves her career at The Nature Conservancy. Then it happened, during the spring of 2021, Carly and Walt both moved to NC. Carly, eager to get back to her roots and be near family. Walter, eager for a change and life on the east coast to make that PA drive a little smoother. Now, not being separated by 1000's of miles. It took no time at all for them to find one another on the dating app Bumble. They planned to meet at the Flying Saucer in Raleigh for their first date. Walt arrived early and took a seat outside on the patio. Moments later, as Carly’s taxi pulled up and the passenger door opened, Walt’s heart skipped a beat when he saw his beautiful date exit the taxi. As Carly walked over to the table Walt could not take his eyes off her. While at the same time, Carly couldn’t stop thinking about his gorgeous eyes. Their connection was instant and the world around them was brightened. After dinner, they enjoyed the rest of the night walking around, holding hands and exploring their new city. During that magical night in Raleigh a northern yankee fell for a southern belle. Carly and Walter waited a long time for this great love to come their way. It was only the second date when their pups met and the deal was sealed. Next, Watts and Bailey’s romance went side by side of their parents love story. Walter and Carly now live together in their happy home in Wake Forest, NC. Needless to say, it was worth the wait for the whole family. They are excited to begin their journey as husband and wife.
