En el 2010, Camila conoció a Jesús en un campamento cristiano. Ella le pidió a Dios que, "si Él era real y en verdad le hablaba a su gente", entonces que ella quería conocer su voz. Cerró los ojos y lo que apareció en su mente fue una imagen de una Biblia abriéndose y miles de mariquitas saliendo de ella. Sin entender y un poco decepcionada se fue a dormir. Al día siguiente en la hora del devocional (rato a solas con Dios), Camila agarró su biblia y apenas la abrió apareció una mariquita. Desde ese momento ella supo que Dios era real y que en verdad habla con sus hijos de maneras únicas y exactas. Siete años después, Walter y Camila se conocieron en Youth With A Mission (JUCUM) en Denver, Colorado. Walter se inscribió en la Escuela de Entrenamiento de Discipulado y Camila se inscribió en la Escuela de Desarrollo del Ministerio. Durante los siguientes meses juntos, en la escuela y haciendo misiones internacionales, se convirtieron en los mejores amigos. Y fueron las mariquitas la confirmación De Dios para llevar esa amistad a un siguiente paso. Hoy en día las mariquitas son un símbolo de la fidelidad y el amor de Dios tanto para Camila y ahora, Walter. En el transcurso de su relación, las mariquitas aparecerían al azar y aun lo siguen haciendo. Dios no tenía que hacerlo de esta manera, pero la evidencia de su gracia una vez más fue dulce, exacta y amorosa.

Mauna Kea, Hawaii La propuesta totalmente sorpresa ocurrió el 1 de junio, la fecha de nacimiento de Oscar Pinto (el papá de Camila). Nos sentimos como si él estuviera con nosotros, ya que pasamos un día inolvidable en la playa, hipnotizados por la belleza de Dios mientras nadamos junto a las tortugas marinas y peces de todos los colores. En nuestro camino hacia las montañas, vimos un espectacular arco iris. Llegamos a la cima a tiempo para luego experimentar el atardecer más impresionante de nuestra vida. Walter seguía pidiéndole a Camila que se sentara, "porque había algo importante que hablar". Camila, sin embargo, estaba distraída por los colores del cielo. Una vez que el sol acababa de ponerse, Walter intentó nuevamente tener cierta 'conversación' con ella y no queriendo que el día se oscureciera por completo sobre ellos, se arrodilló para hacer estallar la pregunta. ¡Camila fue tomada por completa sorpresa y dio un enfático SÍ!

In 2010, Camila met Jesus at a Christian camp. She asked God that, “if He was real and if He talks to people”, she wanted to find the way He talks to her. She closed her eyes and what appeared in her mind was a picture of a Bible being opened and thousands of ladybugs coming out of it. The thought seemed crazy as she went to bed. During the next morning's camp devotional time, as Camila opened her Bible, a ladybug appeared and flew out of it. That was the moment she knew God was real and that He indeed talks to His children in unique ways. Seven years later, Walter and Camila met at Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Denver, Colorado. Walter was enrolled in Discipleship Training School and Camila was enrolled in the School of Ministry Development. Over the next months together, in school and doing international missions work, they became the best of friends. Ladybugs have become a way God continues to communicate with Camila and now, Walter. Over the course of their relationship, ladybugs would randomly appear to him and, now again, Camila. Ladybugs became their reminder of God’s faithfulness and intentionality, not only for Camila, but for Walter as well. He did not have to do it this way, but the evidence of His grace was sweet and loving.

Mauna Kea, Hawaii The surprise proposal occurred on June 1st, the birthdate of Oscar Pinto (Camila’s dad). We felt as though he was with us, as we had an unforgettable day at the beach, mesmerized by God's beauty as we swam alongside sea turtles and beautiful fish. On our way up to the mountains, we saw the a spectacular rainbow. We made it to the top in time to then experience the most stunning sunset. Walter kept asking Camila to sit, “because I want to talk." Camila, however, was distracted by the amazement of the sunset's beautiful coloration. Once the sun had just set, Walter tried again to have a certain 'talk' with her and not wanting the day to become completely dark on them, got down on one knee to pop THE question. Camila was completely caught off guard and gave an emphatic YES!
