Shannon and Walter met at the most storied and venerated institution in all of Jersey City -- Lucky Seven's. One cold night in February, Shannon was out celebrating her birthday with a bunch of close friends, one of them being the legendary Mikey Mozz. On the very same evening, Walter texted HIS good pal Mikey Mozz asking him if he was out and about. Walter stopped by, bought Shannon a birthday vodka soda as soon as he arrived (and then several more), and the two spent the rest of the evening chatting in the corner, preventing the rest of the distinguished patrons from playing darts the rest of the night. Shannon was shocked that the two had never crossed paths before as both considered Mikey Mozz one of their closest pals. However, Walter soon admitted that he'd long admired her from afar but between COVID and previous paramours the timing had never seemed ideal to strike up a conversation. After exchanging information, they quickly bonded over a meme of the greatest Italian-American who ever lived...Guy Fieri. From there, they set up their first date to eat tacos and well, now you're on this website! We quickly discovered that we both loved Taylor Swift, trying to beat each other on the Wordle and Connections every morning (Shannon usually wins Wordle, Walter the Connections), traveling, going out to eat all over the city and the world, rooting against each other's football teams (S: Go Bills! W: Go Giants!), and supporting the other's decision to skip the gym. In each other we both found a best friend to do all those things and more. The best birthday gift was indeed found that night --- at Lucky Seven's.
