When Walter and Megan first met Walter was a firefighter and Megan had recently received her acceptance letter into the nursing program. They had met online on the app Tinder. Megan initiated the first conversation mentioning how wouldn't it be cute to see a nurse and a firefighter together. Walter had not responded for a few days but Megan stayed hopeful because she felt that there was something special about him. So she sent another message to see if he would acknowledge and he did! And that is the story of the nurse and the fireman. An elaborate and romantic engagement was planned by Walter on November 21st, 2016, a year and a half after they had begun dating. He had planned a surprise engagement at the place where they had their first date. From then their love continued to grow into sharing an apartment together, adopting two kitties, and then moving into their first home. They have experienced new friends, losses of friends and family, advancing their education, and so much more together creating an even stronger bond over time.
